The Shaker, Regency, Edwardian and Brampton style can be further enhanced with the introduction of a cock Bead detail. Cock Bead is the term used to describe the rounded moulding detail to the cupboard framework. This simple device was introduced to give furniture a more delicate and elegant appearance.

Cock Bead are common on many pieces of late 18th and 19th Century furniture and provide surface interest to the eye and the hand.

Cock Bead design details.

• Cock Bead door design: The Cock Bead style is the term given to the rounded detail on the door & drawer carcass framework. With this design the doors of each individual design remain the same, with the changes made only to the frame attached to the carcass.

• Door build: Not applicable to the Cock Bead range as detail it to carcass framework only (see previous paragraph).

• Carcass build: We offer 2 carcass material options, plain MDF or melamine faced MDF, both carcass types including backs, are 18mm in thickness.

• Drawer build: All drawers are solidly built from the same material as our cupboard carcass options. All drawers are mounted on high quality engineered steel runners with ball bearing mechanisms.
