Unpainted Kitchens FAQS

1. How do I find out the price of my kitchen?
Our customers usually email, fax or post details of their proposed project to us for an approximate costing. A rough sketch with approximate room dimensions and an idea of the appliances that are to be incorporated into your kitchen is usually enough information at this stage. Additionally you may find our price guide insert with an example of one of our kitchens and costing helpful.

2. How long does it take to make my kitchen?
Lead time is dependant on our work load and is usually between 3 & 8 weeks. Please contact us for a more accurate delivery date prior to placing your order.

3. Do you offer a design service?
Yes, if you would like personal assistance with the planning of your kitchen please contact us to arrange a convenient date and time for your visit. Consultations usually last about 45 minutes. Alternatively see FAQ 1. We can create elevation drawings & floor plans for your proposed kitchen. There is a charge for this service which is totally deductible from the cost of your kitchen.

4. Do you make site visits?
To make our kitchens as cost effective as possible we do not make site visits. Our customers usually measure the area themselves or get their carpenter or builder to do so.

5. How are the units constructed?
All doors are made from 30mm MDF assembled in 5 pieces using traditional joinery techniques. The doors are hung on 75mm (3 inch) hinges which are fixed to a hardwood frame work and secured with magnetic door catches. The door framework is then fixed to the unit carcass. We offer two carcass options: plain 18mm MDF or cream coloured melamine faced 18mm MDF. All drawers are mounted on high quality engineered steel runners with ball bearing mechanisms.

6. Are the kitchens easy to fit?
Yes, the majority of units are supplied fully assembled. Exceptions are, large items such as over-mantles, large larder units etc which are made in sectional form for transporting purposes.
Fully assembled units mean that the installation of the kitchen is an easy matter for a carpenter or competent DIY enthusiast.
